Citation Network Analysis to Identify Preclinical Radiation Therapy Studies with High Translational Gap Scores: A Corpus of 500,000 PubMed Records
Summary
This MSc proposal plans to construct a large-scale citation network from 500,000 PubMed records spanning preclinical and clinical radiation therapy literature, then develop a quantitative Translational Gap Score based on citation flow and network topology. The goal is to identify preclinical RT studies with high unmet translational potential, pinpointing which biological mechanisms and experimental findings have failed to make the leap into clinical research.
